Walter Francis Spacco

Walter was born in Boston in 1947, a year after his parents were married. He was the first grandson of his generation and the second grandchild for Nono and Nana. His parents lived on Beaumont Street during his early years. It would be ten years until the family moved to Quincy (1958) where Walter attend North Quincy High.

After high school Walter and his close friend Dick drove a school bus to New Orleans for adventure and good times. He avoided conscription into the Vietnam War due to his asthma.

He met his first wife in Quincy and they married in 1973. After trying his hand at different occupations, he ended working for the family's painting business. Walter and Susan had two sons, the second falling victim to SIDS.

Drinking, drugs and the death of his son took its toll on the marriage and Walter and Susan were divorced in 1985. Walter moved to Maryland and took a job painting with local contractors. He eventually realized his drug and alcohol problem and sought help.

Through rehab, AA, and dedication, Walter triumphed over addiction and pulled his life together. Shortly afterwards, he met a high school vice principal who was also divorced. They married and now live outside of Baltimore, Maryland.

A true outdoorsman and adventurer, Walter enjoys hunting, fishing, and metal detecting with his son, Jaime. When he's not outside, he enjoys playing cards and video games.
