The youngest son of Jimmy and Concetta, Paul was the first to be born in a hospital. He grew up on Granger Street. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. After the war he married Mary Donovan and they would have five children (a son and four daughters). The family lived in a three family home at 91 Claybourne Street in Dorchester that was within walking distance of his brother Sam's home on Alpha Rd.

Paul was a fireman for the Boston Fire Department and worked for Spacco & Sons, the family painting business started by his father.

Paul is now retired from the fire department and lives on Mill Street in the house once owned by his parents. He enjoys gardening and the occasional glass of wine.
