The only child born to Rocky and Olivia Spacco and the first grandchild to be named after his father's father. Born to a man who would choose service to his country as a career. Raised in a family that moved many times.
Jimmy attended school in such diverse places as Japan, California, Virginia, Hawaii and Maryland. Eventually graduating in 1967 from a small school (seventy six in his graduating class) in Cecil County Maryland. He earned his AA degree from a local junior college and worked a variety of jobs before meeting Gail and moving to Boston in 1972. They spent a year in Boston living on Granger Street while Gail attended school. After her graduation they moved back to Maryland were Jimmy found a job in a machine shop. They bought an old house that needed repair, but was a beautiful spot of land divided by a creek (Weasel's Hollow). Six years later they would have their first child, a boy, Jesse. Three years latter their daughter Gillian came into the world.
After being married for eight years having children refocused their lives. Previously they had spent their time working with teens from their church. Now they were to raise their own. Education became the primary focus for the children and they would both graduate with honors from their separate schools.
During Jesse's teens the dad and son joined scouts. Jimmy eventually became a Scoutmaster and hiked the trails of Philmont Scout Ranch with his Eagle Rank son. Jimmy would also become a trainer of Scoutmasters, earning his Woodbeads and teaching others the ways of Baden Powell.
The machine shop with its concrete floors, cold winters and hot summers lost its appeal to Jimmy after twenty five years and he left for a job as a computer programmer and project manager.
Jimmy enjoys gardening , the beach, and like any good parent, torturing his kids. With both kids attending college in Philadelphia Jimmy and Gail are empty nesters.
